Igor Lunder with Zagreb Saxophone Quartet & Guests – Reeeeeeeds  
  Igor Lunder with Reeds will perform at the 14th World Saxophone Congress
in Ljubljana, Slovenia
on July 8th 2006.
 
  The world premiere of “Jazz Suite for Saxophone, Rhythm Section and Symphonic
Wind Band
”, written by Igor Lunder, will be performed by Jure Pukl Quartet and Slovenian Army Orchestra at the 14th World Saxophone Congress on July 7th 2006 in Gallus Hall of Cankarjev dom, Ljubljana, Slovenia.
 
    New editions
of Igor Lunder’s compositions are now available on Sloway Music Editions.
 
 

Igor Lunder made a new project consisting mostly of his original compositions and some arrangements of jazz standards. In his sextet he brought together some great Slovenian and Serbian musicians. In 2004 they released their first CD Igor Lunder Sextet.

Marko Djordjević
(1972, Beograd, SCG)
studied trumpet at the Musical art academy in Belgrade (in years 1983 – 1990 he won many first prizes in Yugoslavian and Serbian competitions), at the Jazz Department of the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz and at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich.
He perfomed with many names from the jazz scene from all over the world: Clark Terry, Barry Harris, Peter Erskine, Sheila Jordan, Gianni Basso, Adam Nussbaum, Bill Dobbins, Mark Murphy, Brad Leali, Ed Neumeister, Ron McClure, Dusko Gojkovic, Stjepko Gut, Don Menza, Charly Antolini…
Orchestras and combos: Euro-pean Jazz Youth Orchestra, Marko Djordjevic - Tom Rein-brecht Quintet, Big Band RTS, Dusko Gojkovic Munich Big Band, Dusko Gojkovic 5 Horns & Rhythm Unit, Charly Antolini International Jazz Power…

Igor Lunder
(1969, Ljubljana, SLO) finished his Igor Lunderstudies at the Jazz Department of the High School of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana. He continued his stu-dies at the Jazz Departments of the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz and Sibe-lius Academy in Helsinki. He obtained his Master degrees in Jazz-guitar and Jazz-composition and arranging.
He performs with different jazz musicians in different jazz com-bos. He leads and arranges for his trio, sextet and “Igor Lunder with Reeds” (saxophone quartet and a guitar; CD Jazz Menu; 2003, CD Igor Lunder with Zagreb Saxophone Quartet & Guests – Reeeeeeeeds; 2006). He also writes compo-sitions and arrangements for Big Bands as well as smaller ensembles. He is an artistic director and conductor of Big Band Grosuplje. He teaches at the Jazz Department of the High School of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana. He performed on different festivals in Ljubljana, Maribor, Koper, Kranj, Krško, Portorož, Podsreda, Bohinj, Cerkno, Tolmin, Zagreb, Beograd, Novi Sad, Pula, Bjelovar, Bratislava, Krakow.

Milan Nikolić
(1973, Kruševac, SCG)
obtained his Master degrees in Jazz-contrabass at the Jazz Department of the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz. Since 1996 he lives in Graz, where he’s one of the most asked jazz double bass pla-yers. He played with great musicians like: Dusko Gojkovic, Stjepko Gut, Karl Ratzer, Fritz Pauer, Ed Neumeister, Uli Re-nnert…

 

Matjaž Mikuletič
(1975, Ilirska Bistrica, SLO)
obtained his Master degrees in Jazz-trombone at the Jazz Department of the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz. As a member of KUG Big Band he cooperated with musicians like Herb Pomeroy, Peter Erskine, Clark Terry, Ed Neumeister, European Jazz Youth Orche-stra, EBU Big Band... .
He is a soloist in Big Band RTV Slovenia. He also works with some bands in Italy and Croatia (Tentet Mirokado, Ocho Rios, Ten directions, Boško Petrović tentet…).
Festivals: Ljubljana, Maribor, Izola, Krško, Za-greb…


Igor Lumpert

(1975, Novo Mesto, SLO)
finished Bruckner Conservatory in Linz. After that he moved to New York, where he studied at the New School University with George Garzone, Reggie Work-man, Buster Williams, Chico Hamilton and Billy Harper. He graduated in 2002.
He performed with: Reggie Workman, Andy Mckee, Robert Glasper, Damion Reid, Boris Kozlov, George Colligan, Vin-cente Archer, Jonathan Blake, Jacob Bro, Sonny Simmons… .
He leads his own band Inner-textures and teaches at Jazzinty summer music workshop in Novo Mesto.
Festivals: Munich 1999, Ljubljana 2001 and 2002, Cankarjev dom - Ljubljana 2004…
Clubs: Jazz Standard, Cornelia street cafe, Supperclub, Kavehaz - NYC, Porgy and Bess - Vienna, Unterfahrt - Munich, Linz, Zagreb, Wels, Trieste, Venice, Ulm…
Currently he lives and works in New York and periodically in Slovenia.


Dušan Novakov
(1970, Pančevo, SCG)
obtained his Master degrees in Jazz-drums at the Jazz Department of the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz. Currently he lives and works in Wienna. He worked with great musicians, like: Mark Murphy, Michelle Hen-dricks, Timna Brauer - Elias Meiri Ensemble, Valery Pono-marev, Dusko Gojkovic, Stje-pko Gut, George Cables, Fer-nando Correa, Brad Leali, Karl-Heinz Miklin, Fritz Pauer, Berndt Luef, Big Band Graz, Nenad Vasilić Balkan Band…
He recorded over 20 albums and played on leading festivals and clubs in Europe (Austria, Germany, Holland, Poland, Hun-gary, Slovenia, Croatia, Israel, Yugoslavia…).
